Yup, still happening this year. Better late than never, right? This saturday starting at 11am at the OKC park. Bowl and street jam with some extras. Long jump, best flyout and highest hop.
My week came and went.. And I was only able to ride twice... So, that little week long webvid I was talkin about? Ya, didn't happen. BUT, Jerm and Daniel are comin to KC for a weekend here pretty soon and I'll finish it up then. Pretty psyched for those boys to come and ride. Shits gonna get real. Real good! Boom! KC street looks sick! Hows this for a picture?
So, I'm in town for the rest of the week. I have to leave this coming Sunday to head back to KC. I know I know... I don't want to but such is the life of a grown up. But, we filmin and ridin alllllll week.. I am even going to try and put together a small edit of myself.. Something I haven't done in a reallllllllly long time. So keep your eyes open and come ride with us! Don't forget... Stay young.. don't grow up. Ever.
Boom!
Name the rapper that wears this bart simpson chain around his neck and jeremie will buy you something.
Hey everyone, I'm Russell. I just got invited to contribute to the blog, woo! So, on my introductory post, I'm going to give you an embed of the full length video off the DVD I made. Enjoy it, it's fun. All Tulsa goodness.
Went out last thursday with James hoping to get a last clip to finish up my edit due to bike malfunction the last time. I was really anxious to get this clip over with so I can relax until I go to England. And I was leaving town for the weekend so I wouldn't be able to do it then. Bases loaded and the game riding on one pitch.......BOOM! Success. James even busted something for the camera and add to his ever growing repertoire of tricks. And his small list of clips for an edit of him and Matt I'm working on.
Last night Matt and I went out for some clips. He got a little surprise when he wandered into a parking garage. No photos of that session since I left the memory card at work but I have this photo of James.
Saturday was dope and had to keep the momentum going for Sunday. Little Mat and I started at my house with some fresh eggs and coffee then to the park by 11. After a little sesh we swung by to pick up Lil' James and hit up the first spot I had found the day before for James. James killed it. Got a call from Stoney wanting to ride so we went back to the park to meet up with him and off we were. Showed up to this nice little up rail. I have been wanting to get some stuff done on it, I have been trying to get James to go up it and Stoney was there feeling something too. We got some warm ups in and I got the camera out. Second go I didnt have enough speed and was at a crazy angle and missed my peg. I punched myself in the face, hit my balls, gashed my leg and hit my foot so now my big toe is black and purple. And pretty much killed everyones mood for an uprail session, sorry guys. I got one pic of the day which is James doing a gap to wall ride. Sweet
Who was stoked for a 3 day weekend...I was stoked for a 3 day weekend. What ruined the 3 day weekend....RAIN ruined the 3 day weekend. The weekend still turned out to be good. Tazz is in town and he brought some friends from Houston. We got a decent amount of shredding in for a few photos and for one of the dudes to break his wrist. Thanks to Joe, Dusty, Michael and Andreas for hanging out. And they were here when my a/c was out, awesome. Here are a few pics that were taken.
Alright, so I started this awhile ago... and by awhile ago I mean maybe 2 christmas's ago! haha What can I say, it's been on the back burner for a bit. But, I wanted to throw it up on the site and see if anyone likes it. It's just the intro to a video we all started and has yet to be finished. By finished, I mean not done filming, let alone editing! So here it is. Criticism encouraged and welcomed. Hopefully I can start puttin some other BMX related videos up soon. Hoping to get a couple of these weddings knocked out soon and I have a reel I need to put together.. Then I'll get back on some BMX stuff.. Was watching some of the older videos I did and made me miss filming BMX and riding for that matter! Well, hope you all enjoy.
Well here's a little edit that I threw together for my boy Eric. Hailing from the Wichita KS area, Eric controls his bike better than I know how! Ha! We filmed this all in one day when I stopped through in Derby and Wichita not too long ago.. I'm also working on a smaller edit of Lucas Schallar.. So keep your eyes open for that as well.. More soon
Heres a little bio of a local kid that is starting to make an impression.
James just has it. You blink and he's doing something new. It seems like he's one of the few chosen that has the natural gift to be good at whatever he wants.

Dang Dang and I went to Hawaii last year which was a blast. Figured I would re-post the vid. Some good advice is get out there as much as possible while you can, so much to see.
I'm in an oldies kind of mood. If anyone has a hi-8 or digital-8 camera I could bring back some old stuff. But yeah, anyone out there let us know. I would like to digitize some old tapes.
Heres a self edit of Rily Sanders and his house. He used his Cannon Rebel T1i slr camera, which also shoots video. Not bad quality either. I have been looking to buy an slr and after seeing this and our trip to Joplin, it just became a candidate for me.
So Daniel, Rily, Tell, Chris and I headed over to Joplin for a session of warmth.
Nothin like 5 dudes crammed in the Vue, add BMX, beer and gambling and you have a party.
Rode the late session and shut the place down. There were some cool dudes from Arkansas that we shredded with. Got a few pics of one of them, Drew. After the session it was party car to the Hard Rock in Tulsa. It was after 2am so no more booze which made it a loss for everyone, except Daniel. We finally got to bed just before the sun came up. A few short hours later we woke to frigid cold and some snow...crap. We were supposed to meet up with the homie Russ Wadlin to ride for a bit, but maybe next time. I put together a little flip book using an online host I found. Not quite as clean as flash but it gets the job done for now. Enjoy
Here's a little something that Jeremie and I have had in the works for awhile now. We put this together over many months and finally got it sent over to ESPN. They posted it on their blog and well, if you didn't see it there.. then watch it here! Even if you have already watched it, watch it again! It only gets better every time you watch it. Thanks Mr. Shane Weston. Without your steady, soft, silky hands.. some of these shots wouldn't be possible.
Its cold and I'm being lazy, but we have some stuff scheduled in the near future. Here's a little something until then. Daniel hittin it big and the Hard Rock in Tulsa. Walk in with $20, walk out with $600. Not bad eh.
...we make another post. Haha. Wow. I think I post more on my website now than I do on flyout. Crazy. Well here's another post for you. January has came and gone. Quite a lot has actually happened this month. Shane Weston, Seth Kambro... Cambroooo.. Kimbrah... Kimbrough came through a couple of weeks ago on their way to Austin in search of warmer weather. They also brought along photographer Andrew White. I got to ride with them one afternoon but it was balls cold. Always good to see those dudes. Two days after they ventured out of OKC, Mark Potoczney, his brother, a girl (can't remember her name) and Wert all came through as well. They, too, were in search of warmer climates other than the cold Penn weather. However, they only stayed for a couple of days as well. Then also went on to Austin and stole Jeremie to go with them. HB got some new HD cams so they took a couple and went on a filming adventure. Not sure whats goin down with the footy but I think that it was only a trial run on the cams. And now, January is over. I've purchased some new stuff for my cam. None of which is really video related. It's all more audio related than anything. Oh, and I'm also the proud owner of a really big new TV.. Lemme know if you want to get murdered at Modern Warfare 2.. Jeremie and I have been playing nonstop lately.. 50" screen money green style! Ya heard!?
Well little girls.. It is now 2010! The year of the Almighty Nick! Haha just kidding. I'm sitting in our new place right now, wondering how I can shut the dog up that is barking next door. Stupid Lazy manager that lives next door isn't home and his dumb stray dog that he decided to adopt is going nuts. I start an intersession class tomorrow for two week.. Then I'll have my final semester of school right after that. Unless, of course, I decide to go to get my bachelors degree. Haven't quite decided yet. In case you are wondering why I'm not posting anything that has to do with riding... Go step outside. Then call yourself dumb for not knowing. It's freakin cold out people!!! REAL COLD!!! Well, Let's see... I can't think of anything else really. Go buy something from Sidewall Distro. You know you want to....
